Revised Action Plan for Review

After talking with my site supervisor, I had shared my peer’s recommendations and she suggested that we not change the dates because we feel that it would unnecessarily extend the length of the project. So we decided to not make any changes to my action research plan. She feels it is thorough enough to get the data we are looking for. I am excited to begin the process of my action research and evaluate the outcome(s). I am anticipating achieving my goal of finding and publishing the best practices for TIS and teachers on the implementation of technology into the classrooms.

EDLD 5301 Week 2 Reflections

After reading chapter 2, “The Passions That Drive Your Journey, Finding a Wondering”, and watching and listening to the videos of the three school leaders, I am much more knowlegable about action research. Some of the areas which the textbook identified were staff development, curriculum development, individual teachers, individual students, school culture/community, leadership, management, school performance, and social justice or equity issues. After talking with my site supervisior and comming up with an action research project we decided to study on best practices for Technology Instructional Specialist (TIS). These practices should be ones that have helped TIS to be more effective in getting teachers to implement technology into their classrooms?  We chose his project hoping it would be most beneficial to teachers as well as Technology Instructional Specialist (TIS). I will be conducting research and collecting data. I'm really excited about my action research ideas, but most importantly, I hoping to see any positive impacts my research will have on other educators, students and TIS.
